After breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Kathmandu (1,400 m) to Lumbini (approx. 150 m). The journey takes around 7–9 hours through hills, rivers, and rural landscapes of Nepal. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax in the peaceful surroundings of the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

This day is fully dedicated to exploring the sacred heart of Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. After breakfast, you begin your visit at the most important site, the Maya Devi Temple. This ancient temple marks the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama. Inside the temple complex, you can see the sacred marker stone and ancient ruins that reflect centuries of devotion and history.

After visiting the temple, you continue to the Ashoka Pillar, built by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC to honor Buddha’s birthplace. Nearby, the Sacred Pond (Puskarini) is believed to be where Queen Maya Devi took a bath before giving birth. The peaceful water and surrounding gardens create a deeply spiritual atmosphere, perfect for reflection and photography.

In the afternoon, you explore the monastic zone, where different countries have built beautiful monasteries representing their Buddhist traditions. This is a great opportunity to experience the true peaceful energy of Lumbini beyond sightseeing. In the afternoon, you can visit local villages around Lumbini to observe traditional Nepali rural life.
