Hello every body
I am going to take you in adventure of a life time that you will not forget because i cannot,
A Journey of Emotions, Challenges, and Unforgettable Beauty. This is the place where you feel like every step is road to heaven feels like.
Yes i am talking about (Annapurna circuit trek) because you will feel every emotion there is inside of you
like, happy , joy , sad , hope, angry and sorrow all blending into one unforgettable memory
so lets talk through the journey,
Day 1: (Pokhara-Jagat) We drove from Pokhara at 7 am in the morning and there were many Nepalese people inside of the bus too like guides and potters and in the bus and bus took over 5 to 6 hours to reach Beshishar and there we had our lunch and from besishar we took off at 2 in the afternoon and around 5 or 6 pm we reached our destination called Jagat and it was a very hectic day cause i spend almost a entire day in a bus but i was very curious and excited to because i knew it will be a memory that i will not be able to forget even if i wanted to forget .
Day 2: (Jagat-Dharapani) Then in day 2 i had my breakfast in 6:30 in the morning and around 7 i departure from Jagat and i expected a lot of dusty trail in coming and as i expected it was indeed a dusty trail and also many jeep passed by so it was a terrible experience because jeep made it worse to walk in dusty trail and after 4 to 5 hour of walk incomes a place called Tal where i had a plan to have lunch and lunch was good as i was expecting and after spending 1 hour in Tal i took off from there and the trail was good not that much of steep climbing to do, so i was enjoying the trail along the way beautiful landscape and the sceneries were motivating me along the way so after 3 hours from Tal i reached the destination called Dharapani.
Day 3: (Dharapani-Chame) i had my breakfast around same time like 6:30 and departure from there around 7 and today was going to be a long walk of like (7-8)hours so i was ready for the challenge and same thing happened that jeep made worse to walk because of dust and it was kind of 6 hours of walk and at thanchock where i had my lunch and from there it was like 1 hour of walk and the minute i saw chame i was not amazed because it was big and it was like a city area and i thought it was not called the business center of manang district because it was so big and you can find every thing over there even 3 or 4 banks were over there and a big hospital was also there and in the evening as usual i had my dinner and i slept early because i had to wakeup early in the morning.
Day 4: (chame- upper pisang) It was kind of daily routine to wake up early and to have a breakfast and leave early because of weather, Afterall in the mountain region and weather can change like in a snap of a finger and also in yesterday evening it was raining so i was not ready to take a chance ,so i started walking and today the trail was good because of yesterday rain the dust was not the issue and it was the day that i saw some glimpses of snow covered mountains and from today i knew they were not going to leave me alone and from there onward i stopped in every turn and every corner off course to take some beautiful pictures of sceneries and myself too and when you see some mountain then you start to forget every pain and every other problem that you have because mountain attracts you towards there beauty and you can’t resist the beauty of mountain and after taking some pictures i arrived at the place called dhikur pokhari to have my lunch and it was amazing as i was having lunch i was seeing the beautiful mountains and after spending almost 45 minutes i decide to walk again and it was amazing because i knew if i would feel tired then i can just look at the mountains to motivate me to carry on the journey which i started and, so after 2 hours of walk i reached upper pisang and i can say that it was very cultured and peace village.
Day 5: (upper pisang- ngawal) when i wakeup i stared outside ant the weather was clear, then i got fresh and when i came outside from my room the weather was clear and the view was amazing that it felt like i was still dreaming but i was not thanks to the cold wind that i felt, then as usual i had my break fast. After i had my breakfast i decided to start walking and i came across green lake which was very pretty and of course i had to take some pictures, then i start walking then come a very high steep mountain which i had to cross to go to ngawal it was very sunny too and to dry so it was one of the difficult part of this whole trek but any way i crossed it with help from my water. Then i came to ngawal after struggling to climb up the steep hill. It was almost 2 or 3 in the afternoon and i had my lunch and dinner both at ngawal and at night there were several other Nepalese people also so we gathered together and decided to danced in Nepalese song at it was a night to remember for me.
Day 6: (ngawal- manang) As i woke in the morning i was bit scared because last night it was a very big rain i thought in the morning that in the day of the pass it will be difficult for me to reach at the top and to go down also , and there was a fear also that if it was raining in the morning or not but luckily it was not so i felt moment of happiness in me, instead i was seeing some beautiful scenario of mountains. Today i was exited because i was heading towards manang which i heard was very stunning and as i was heading the trail were easier then which i left behind me and weather was becoming cloudy as my every step landed on the ground so i became fast with my step but when i saw manang i was stunned by its beauty and i loudly spoke to myself (nature really have blessed manang) and it was a big village too so there was so much things to explore for me but after i reached hotel i wanted to rest instead of exploring manang and it also started raining too so even if i wanted i couldn’t go for walk ,i stayed at the hotel.
Day 7: (acclimatization in manang) Although it was a day to rest and explore manang i decided to go to (icelake) so i had to wakeup early i mean very early at 5 or 6 i don’t remember and i had my breakfast early and i felt like i will be back for my lunch so i didn’t take any pack lunch also i had some biscuit and chocolates to take with me and going for ice lake was one of the difficult thing I’ve done in my life cause you have to climb high steep hills and there is also a new factor that is altitude although I’ve been to high altitude before it’s not easy to climb the altitude although the journey was one to forget but when you start to climb hills you will see what the real mountains look a like because you will come across the beautiful Annapurna mountain range and you will see mountains like( Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna , pisang peak, Tilicho peak ) so hence why you will forget all the struggles that you will be facing during going to the ice lake, after 6 hours i reached at the ice lake i didn’t feel cold as soon as touching water but after a while it was a freezing cold i felt like my fingers were leaving my hand of course after taking some pictures i was preparing to go down but the glorious view of Himalaya didn’t want me to go down so i change my mind and decided to stay for a while and admire the beauty that i was surrounded by one thing that made ice lake even better was there were a bit of snow in the hills that made the ice lake one of a kind and i didn’t regrated the decision to climb up the hill which at first i was questioning was it worth it? and eventually i came down with a happy face but i felt like it will rain so i had to be quick and eventually it did and because of my quick feet i reached the hotel and i had my lunch / dinner in Manang and i was so tired so i quickly took a nap.
Day 8: (Manang-Yak kharka) As i woke up i the morning it was a Nepali new year day so my family called me and wished me a happy new year, when i looked outside it was not a weather that you will like so i ate my breakfast quickly and i wanted to reach the destination as soon a possible so i walked and in the middle of my walk it snowed heavily so i had to put on my water proof gear, in every step the snow was very heavy and the wind was also too powerful and i reached yakkharka after 4 hours of walk and it was very difficult for obvious reasons(snow, wind) and that was a new year day so at evening with some nepali people i singed and danced and it was very entertaining.
Day 9: (yak kharka- thorong phedi) Due to yesterday singing and dancing i woke up very late and i remembered the weather of yesterday so i was like i must not be too late other wise it may snow like yesterday so i ate my breakfast and started walking and it was a opposite day from yesterday because it was snowy and now its very sunny but i was seeing the mountains glowing and i couldn’t even look towards the mountain because of its reflection and at that time i realized how close i was with mountains and i had to use my glasses and it was a very long journey and the sunlight made it way worse then it should have been so, after walking like 4-5 hours i reached thorong phedi and when i was close to reaching the phedi i came across very heavy wind it was like i could have been blown away if it weren’t for my backpack not kidding by the way so there people didn’t get any room to sleep early people fired up the speakers and started to dance and people were loving the dance and at night we slept in dining hall and i was already thinking about next day as i was supposed to wake up around 3 o’clock and start walk because it was gonna be one of the longest walk by far in this trek and i would be crossing thorong-la pass situated in 5406M which is one of the highest pass in the whole world so i was prepared for my next morning.
Day 10: (thorong phedi-muktinath) As i expected i wokeup at around 3 o’clock in the morning and it was very busy and it was all chaos in tea house as all Nepalese and foreigners all were supposed to have a break fast at same time so it was something to watch and after quite sometime i got mine too so i ate quickly and i started my walk and for the first one and a half hour there was a hill and it was very steep to climb and i walked slowly because i also had the fear that i may catch high altitude sickness if i rushed so i reached at high camp and there i had some biscuits and water and i decided to move on quickly and it was very sunny day which was good cause if the weather was bad it may have snowed heavy with high wind which would have made my day very difficult but it was not it was a sunny day and mountains were shining and there was snow all over the place so i was enjoying and bare in mind the walk was very long and every time it was like it over there but it wasn’t so i rested a bit to admire the beauty that i was surrounded by i mean every where there was snow and i mean everywhere so it motivated me to walk again so i started my walk and i heard some “yeah we made it scream” and that’s where i realized i was close to the pass so i started walking a bit fast then i was walking minute before and then i saw a sign called “Thorong la pass” then i also wanted to scream i made it but i didn’t but i think i should’ve but anyways i was like finally all this walking led me to this moment so i of course took some picture because later in my life i know that these picture will be the form of my memory and after seeing these pictures i will remember this journey and crack a smile in my face and gladly be proud in that moment and i will be like i made it. After spending 1 hour at the top i started to ascend from top and at that moment i didn’t care how long it was to go to mukthinath, though i was kind of sad that i was saying goodbye to the mountains and i bid farewell to the mountains it was kind of sad that i had to leave, that day i realized how painful the goodbye was and how painful to leave something that you don’t want to say goodbye but i guess you have to.
Day 11: (Muktinath -Pokhara) That day i slept till 7 or 8 in the morning and i was supposed to leave in 9 so i decided to have breakfast and i packed up my things and i was ready to leave and before i went to bus i looked one last time at those mountains one last time and bid an farewell and i never looked back so in the bus there were several other Nepali people so we sang and we danced during the whole way to Pokhara and when i came back to my home,
After 2 3 days i was already missing those beautiful mountains and those hills that captured my heart and those people and friends that i made and met along the way and at the moment i only had those picture that i clicked along the way to remember those moment and to resemble that period of time that i spend in the “Annapurna Circuit Trek”
