Our Terms and Condition:
- Booking and Payment Policy
To confirm your trip, a 20% advance deposit of the total cost is required upon booking. The remaining balance must be paid before the trip starts in Nepal, either via bank transfer or cash. All bookings are subject to availability, and early confirmation helps secure necessary permits, flights, and accommodations. - Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your trip, please notify us in writing. The initial deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations made at least 30 days in advance, partial refunds may be offered after deducting administrative and preparation charges. No refunds will be issued for last-minute cancellations or unused services. - Inherent Risk and Liability
Trekking in Nepal involves inherent risks such as natural disasters, unpredictable weather, and physical challenges. Big Sky Treks Nepal is not liable for injuries, illness, loss, delays, or accidents caused by factors beyond our control. Clients are responsible for their own well-being and must follow the guide’s instructions during the trek. - Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It should cover high-altitude trekking, emergency medical treatment, helicopter rescue, accidents, and trip interruption. We may request insurance proof before departure. Clients without valid insurance may be denied participation in certain remote treks. - Changes to Itinerary
Weather, health, and unforeseen events may require adjustments to the itinerary. Our guides may alter the route for safety. Big Sky Treks Nepal reserves the right to modify itineraries as needed. These changes do not entitle clients to refunds or compensation. - Delays and Cancellations (Flights & Transport)
Mountain flights, especially to Lukla and Jomsom, are often delayed or canceled due to weather. We recommend reserving buffer days before your international flight. Additional accommodation or transport during delays is not covered by the company. - Client’s Responsibility
Clients are expected to behave respectfully toward guides, staff, locals, and fellow trekkers. Any unlawful, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior may result in trip termination without refund. Clients are also expected to ensure physical fitness for the selected itinerary. - Documentation and Entry Requirements
Clients must ensure they have valid passports, visas, and required permits. Big Sky Treks Nepal assists with trekking permits and TIMS cards, but obtaining a Nepal visa remains the traveler’s responsibility. Carry necessary documents at all times. - Last-Minute Booking
We accept last-minute bookings up to 48 hours before departure, provided full payment is made and all logistics (permits, flights, etc.) can be arranged in time. Such bookings are subject to availability and may limit flexibility. - Complaints and Feedback
If you have any complaints during the trip, inform your guide or our office immediately. We will work quickly to resolve any issue. Feedback is welcome and helps us improve our service. Legal disputes, if any, will fall under the jurisdiction of the Government of Nepal.
Big Sky Treks Nepal is committed to transparency, safety, and sustainable tourism. We thank you for choosing us and look forward to sharing unforgettable Himalayan adventures together.
